नई दिल्ली।अमेरिका ने तिब्बत को लेकर एक सख्त कानून पास किया है1 इसके तहत अगर चीन ने अमेरिकी नागरिकों, सरकारी अधिकारियों और पत्रकारों को तिब्बत जाने की अनुमति नहीं दी तो अमेरिका बदले में चीनी अधिकारियों के खिलाफ वीजा पर पाबंदी लगाने जैसे कदम भी उठा सकता है।

Mcleodganj: The Dalai Lama has urged world leaders meeting in Poland for the COP24 Climate Conference to take a serious transformative action on tackling climate change and find “constructive solutions to global warming.” Delegates and decision makers from almost 200 countries are currently meeting at the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Poland. The Conference aims to hammer out a roadmap for putting into practice the 2015 Paris climate agreement.

Religious Conference of the Schools of Tibetan Buddhism and Bon Tradition postponed

Mcleodganj: The 13th Religious Conference of the Schools of Tibetan Buddhism and Bon Tradition scheduled to take place from 29 November to 1 December this year at Dharamshala has been indefinitely postponed. In a circular issued, the Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration announced that owing to the sudden demise of the supreme head of the Nyingma tradition, Kathok Getse Rinpoche, who passed away this week in Nepal and in respecting the sentiments of the followers of Nyingma tradition, the 13th Religious Conference of the Schools of Tibetan Buddhism and Bon Tradition has been indefinitely postponed.

The Dalai Lama arrives in Japan to a rousing welcome

Tokyo: Hundreds of well-wishers and devotees in Japan celebrated the arrival of Tibetan spiritual leader The Dalai Lama to the country after exactly two years. Mcleodganj: The Dalai Lama left Mcleodganj today for a brief Delhi visit and a ten-day teaching tour to Japan from 10 – 22 November.Tomorrow in Delhi, The Dalai Lama will inaugurate the yearlong celebration of the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev at Bhai Vir Singh Sahitya Sadan. Mcleodganj: The Dalai Lama arrived in Mcleodganj on Tuesday afternoon after completing a strenuous 45-day tour to Ladakh, Delhi, Goa and Bangalore where he gave series of public teachings and talks. While taking questions from reporters at the airport, His Holiness said “(I have a) strong body.I think mainly peaceful mind really makes a difference” after a reporter asked how he manages long journeys. He said, “My tour has been very successful. I was able to do much service as I have always wished to. I ask all the Tibetans not to worry. Now that I am back here, I am looking forward to taking a good rest”. As part of his 45-day teaching tour, the Tibetan spiritual leader first visited Ladakh from 3 July to 3 August where he celebrated his 83rd birthday.

Tibetans to be Exempted from NORI Process

Mcleodganj: Tibetan govt in exile President Dr Lobsang Sangay made an announcement about the latest change in the policy guidelines of Tibetan Identity Certificate (IC) whereby the Central Government of India has made it liable that Tibetans are not required to undergo NORI application process. In addition to that, During the press briefing President Dr Lobsang Sangay also informed that Tibetans can now avail return visas and another process via online as per the new guidelines.
