Dharmshala. The State of Himachal Pradesh was fortunate that His Holiness Dalai Lama has chosen Himachal Pradesh as the place for the Tibetan government-in-exile, which was a matter for pride for the State.
Dharamshala : The State Cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at Dharamshala today. The Cabinet gave its approval to recruit various posts of teachers through SMC in schools where there are no teachers for the last three months in tribal areas and for the last six months in non-tribal areas.
Dharamshala: A mega rally would be organised at Dharamshala on completion of one year tenure of the present State Government on 27th of this month and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would grace the occasion. Solan: While addressing the state level anti-drug rally at Nimantran Resort, Baddi in Solan district today, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that a mass campaign involving parents, teachers and every responsible citizen of the country was required to curb the menace of drug abuse and make the society drug-free and healthy. Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet in its meeting held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur accorded its approval to implement Sashakt Mahila Yojna in the State with a vision to empower rural women by providing them an interface for organization and socio-economic development. The scheme also envisages to link rural women with sustainable livelihood opportunities and improving their skill by imparting training. The Cabinet gave its permission in principle to open government pharmacy college in Seraj area of Mandi district. Kangra: President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, graced and addressed the first convocation of the Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh today. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who presided over the concluding ceremony announced to increase the nazrana (honorarium) paid to local deities participating in Kullu Dussehra festival by five percent and distance allowance by 20 percent.He also announced ten percent increase in remuneration of Bajantaris, who accompany the local deities to the festival besides making provision of Rs. 75,000 for Haripur and Manikaran Dussehra and Rs. 50,000 for Vashisht Dussehra festival.
Shillai : Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday announced opening of Irrigation and Public Health Division at Shillai and IPH Sub-Division at Ronhat in Sirmour district. He made these announcements while addressing a mammoth public meeting at Shillai after he inaugurated developmental projects worth Rs. 3.50 crore in Shillai Assembly constituency. He said the state government would ensure all possible help for all-round development of this Vidhan Sabha constituency. Shimla: The Cabinet meeting held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur decided to provide Kaushal Vikas Allowance to new employees to be employed in industries @ of Rs. 1000 per month for maximum period of two years. Those youth with physical disability of more than 50 per cent would be provided allowance of Rs. 1500 per month under the scheme and it will be applicable for all the employees who are getting salary up to Rs 15,000 per month in private sector.The Cabinet decided to launch Medha Protsahan Yojana to provide coaching facility to meritorious students of Himachal Pradesh for competitive examinations such as CLAT/NEET/IIT-JEE/AIIMS/AFMC/NDA conducted by UPSC/SSC etc. Under this scheme, financial assistance of rupees one lakh or as per the actual, whichever is less will be provided to the meritorious students whose family income does not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh per annum.
